Baker & George
- a new retail destination at the entrance to Marylebone village, at the top of Portman Square, adjacent to Manchester Square home to the Wallace Collection and a stone's throw from the iconic Selfridges. It forms part of the Baker Street Quarter initiative, designated to promote the retail and cultural offer.

The unit is situated on the south side of George Street, which links Baker Street with Thayer Street and Marylebone High Street and are a 10 minute walk from both Bond Street and Baker Street Tube Stations (combined entry/exit movements (2017) of approx. 70 million per annum).

There is a large residential and office population in the area including 800,000 sq ft of offices at 55 Baker Street and Pandora Jewellery’s HQ also on George Street. Occupiers in the immediate vicinity include; Kobox, Colliers International, Daniel Galvin Hair Salon, Souli Cafe, The Wallace Collection and Chiltern Firehouse.

George Street is set to benefit from the regeneration works taking place on Baker Street and Gloucester Road which will introduce two way traffic and a more pedestrian friendly environment in this area of Marylebone. These works are estimated to be completed by the end of 2018.

Baker Street Quarter (BID)*

What it means for the retailer*

The Baker Street Quarter Partnership was established in April 2013 with the aim of focusing the businesses in the Baker Street and Marylebone area. This forum now represents over 160 local businesses, helping them to create a thriving and more prosperous community. The primary aim of the BID is to create a high quality environment where people want to work, live and visit in addition to a profitable place to do business.

The Quarter is the largest commercial district in the West End where the BID is seeking to implement management initiatives to improve the area for the benefit for all, and support and promote business to ensure this growth continues.

There are a series of events hosted by the BID including a monthly food market, guided walks, Summer in the Square series and networking events to create new ways for people to meet and socialise.
